The opportunity:
Permanent Part-time 0.6FTE - 3 days per week
Level 5 – from $38.4211- $41.4135 per hour depending upon qualifications and experience*
Located at our Eaton Administration Centre
We are seeking a motivated individual who can provide a high level of support across the organisation to actively encourage and embed a positive culture of health and safety. You will need to be a good communicator who is passionate about process improvement with the ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders.
What you’ll do:
Ensuring all employees and contractors comply with Council’s WHS systems and processes by way of site safety inspections and audits.
Provide education, advice and support with WHS practices and procedures to develop an organisational culture of safety, health and welfare.
Assist with the development and implementation of WHS strategies, programs and processes in conjunction with the Manager Human Resources.
What we’re looking for:
A qualification in WHS or a related field (Certificate IV in WHS or higher preferred).
Demonstrated experience in a similar WHS role.
Strong knowledge of WHS legislation, regulations, and codes of practice.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and educate others.
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
Incident investigation experience will be highly regarded.
