About the role

Are you an experienced HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environment and Quality) Officer looking to join a reputable organisation in the mining, resources and energy industry? Global Coating Systems Pty Ltd, located in East Rockingham WA 6168, is seeking a skilled HSEQ Officer to join their team on a casual basis. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the company's operations meet the highest health, safety, environmental and quality standards.

What you'll be doing

Developing, implementing and monitoring health, safety, environment and quality management systems and procedures

Conducting risk assessments, incident investigations and audits to identify and mitigate hazards

Providing training and guidance to employees on HSEQ policies and best practices

Monitoring and reporting on HSEQ performance metrics to drive continuous improvement

Liaising with regulatory authorities and ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industry standards

Assisting in the development and review of HSEQ documentation, including safe work method statements, job safety analyses and emergency response plans

What we're looking for

Tertiary qualification in a relevant field, such as Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science or Quality Management

Lead Auditor Qualification

Minimum 3 years' experience as an HSEQ Officer or in a similar role within the mining, resources or energy sector

Thorough understanding of workplace health and safety legislation, environmental regulations and quality management standards

Excellent problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills

Proficiency in using HSEQ software and data analysis tools

Strong attention to detail and commitment to continuous improvement
