We’re seeking a compassionate and proactive Support Worker/Team Leader to join our growing team in the Hunter and Newcastle regions. This is a casual position offering flexibility, professional development, and the chance to make a genuine impact in your community.

What You’ll Be Doing

Lead by example and support participants with personal care, meal prep, medication, and daily living

Supervise and mentor Disability Support Workers, fostering a positive, inclusive team culture

Liaise with families, stakeholders, and clinical leaders to meet client goals

Coordinate rosters with the Operations Manager to ensure quality service delivery

Ensure compliance with NDIS Practice Standards and workplace health and safety policies

Maintain accurate documentation, incident reports, and client records

What We’re Looking For

Minimum 2 years’ experience in disability or aged care

Confident leadership and mentoring abilities

Strong understanding of NDIS, Quality & Safeguarding, and WHS principles

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and overnights

A commitment to person-centered, respectful support

You’ll Also Need

Certificate III or IV in Disability, Aged Care, or Community Services (preferred)

Current NDIS Worker Screening Check

Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)

Valid First Aid & CPR certification

Police Check (issued within the last 2 years)

Driver’s licence and reliable, insured vehicle
