About the role

IDEA Innovative Disability Engagement Australia Pty Ltd is seeking a passionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to join our team in Kellyville, NSW. This is a casual role, offering flexible working arrangements to suit your lifestyle.

What you'll be doing

Providing high-quality, person-centred support to individuals with disability, with a focus on positive behaviour support

Assisting with daily living activities, community access, and social and recreational participation

Implementing behaviour support strategies to help clients develop positive behaviours and independence

Monitoring client progress and collaborating with the wider support team to ensure the best outcomes

Maintaining accurate records and documentation in line with organisational policies and procedures

Promoting a safe, inclusive and empowering environment for all clients

What we're looking for

Relevant qualification in disability support, community services or a related field

Demonstrated experience in providing person-centred support, with a focus on positive behaviour support

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Commitment to upholding the rights, dignity and independence of people with disability

Current First Aid and CPR certification, and a valid driver's licence
