I am exclusively partnering with a leading Australian manufacturer and supplier of industrial flow control solutions, with a proud heritage of over a century in the market. They have manufacturing facilities in both WA and Victoria, and are renowned for delivering high-quality, locally made valves and pipeline fittings that set the standard for reliability and performance across Australia.
Their diverse product range supports critical infrastructure in water, mining, energy, and industrial sectors—empowering clients with custom-engineered solutions, not just off-the-shelf products. As a trusted partner to major projects, they are committed to innovation, quality, and service excellence.
As the Business Development Manager, you will be the face of the business in Western Australia, driving growth through technical solution selling and project acquisition. This is not a transactional sales role—your expertise and consultative approach will help clients solve complex challenges, adding genuine value beyond price.
What You'll Do:
Develop New Business: Identify and secure new project opportunities across water, mining, energy, and industrial markets.
On-Site Engagement: Regularly visit client sites, understand their technical requirements, and tailor solutions using our extensive product portfolio (valves, pipeline fittings, and custom-engineered components).
Technical Consultation: Leverage your technical acumen to advise on product selection, system integration, and value-added engineering solutions.
Project Management: Oversee the sales cycle from initial enquiry to project delivery, collaborating with engineering and production teams.
Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging technologies to position our client as a partner of choice.
About You:
Technical Background: Engineering, industrial, or trade qualifications (mechanical, process, or similar) is highly advantageous.
Solutions Focused: Experience in solution-based sales—ideally in valves, pipeline systems, or industrial fittings.
Project Sales Experience: Proven track record in winning and managing projects within water, mining, or heavy industry.
Relationship Builder: Strong communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders from site engineers to executive decision-makers.
Self-Starter: Comfortable working autonomously, with the drive to grow the WA market.
Salary Expectations:
$100k - $120k + Super + Company + Commissions (UNCAPPED)
