Community & Stakeholder Manager - NSW Government Land Acquisition
We’re seeking two Community & Stakeholder Managers to support a major infrastructure project focused on land acquisition and stakeholder relations across metropolitan and regional NSW.
Assignment Term: ASAP start anticipated to 31 December 2025
Location: Hybrid – Parramatta HQ with monthly travel to Albury and as-needed travel to the Riverina region
Hours: 40 hours/week
Rate: $1,000–$1,100 per day + super
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary liaison for landowners, businesses, and community members impacted by the land acquisition process.
- Conduct on-the-ground engagement activities such as door knocking and letterbox drops.
- Develop communication materials, key messages, and responses for community-facing engagement.
- Monitor community sentiment and emerging issues to inform strategic responses and minimise project risks.
- Attend meetings with affected property owners alongside the acquisition team.
- Coordinate stakeholder notifications and ensure compliance with Centre for Property Acquisition (CPA) guidelines.
- Manage inquiries from surrounding residents and businesses not directly impacted but concerned.
Ideal Candidate:
- 10+ years’ experience in Government communications, stakeholder engagement, or community relations.
- Strong experience in government-led land acquisition projects for major infrastructure.
- Background in rural/regional stakeholder engagement or experience working with easements is a plus.
- Exceptional interpersonal, problem-solving, and issues management skills.
- Degree in Communications or related field.
- NSW Centre for Property Acquisition – Core Practitioner Certificate (preferred).
