The successful candidate would join as our Principal Finance Broker and newest team member; who will have the pleasure of servicing both CURRENT and FUTURE mortgage/finance broking clientele, with a constant supply of new deals typically deriving from current finance broking clientele; and our pre-existing Wealth/Financial Planning Division; and our pre-existing Taxation/Accounting Division.
Our finance broking division has an EXISTING book of clients who will need to be serviced through routine and ad hoc reviews, or when needs arise; and equally, new 'Group clientele', typically deriving from our Wealth and Tax Division. The growth of our 'Lantana Group' continues to exceeded 25% (twenty five percent) Y/Y, measured now over the past decade and relevant information for the successful candidate who intends on a medium to long term career as a Finance and Mortgage Broker.
The position enables WFH 100% of the time; or WFO 100% of the time, or a combination of the two, at the full discretion of the successful candidate. Similarly, 'start and finish times' do NOT exist at our firm - instead with a focus on work-life balance for our team; and successful client outcomes.
The Wealth and Tax Principals WFO every Tuesday and Thursday; while WFH every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We use every Tuesday and Thursday to meet clients in the office; and more importantly, to enjoy time together as a team, collaborating with each other and naturally, enjoying one of the many delicious restaurants at the 'Paris End' of Collins Street. However, WFO, while enjoyable and productive, is optional; as the firm recognises that the successful candidate may prefer to WFH 100% of the time, which is perfectly acceptable.

Significant support resources, including (i) designated and already trained broker support personal (Melbourne based) - to 'free up' your time (ii) in-house IT and other logistical support and (iii) all compliance support - so that you able to focus while knowing all legal/ASIC requirements are satisfied. As such, the role will enable you to 'be your own boss'; albeit with vast support backing you up, most importantly including the handover of 'red hot' and often 'ready made' broking deals;
Unlimited earning potential - through a generous commission split and as a result of the successful candidate as having sole and exclusive rights to all broking clientele (and of course, welcome to bring or create your own 'Self-Generated' clientele - however this is NOT expected NOR required in the role)
Direct access to other Principals RE: Wealth and Tax Division, so you are not waiting for information; and to further promote what has always been a friendly, collaborative, educational and 'no egos' environment. The firm very intentionally uses a singular and highly secure CRM, providing all divisions with immediate access to client information. Besides assisting the successful candidate, our existing Wealth and Tax Principals; and other team members (totaling 15 and growing) would be keen to learn from the successful candidate, always with a focus on professional development to better serve our clients through cross-divisional training. N.B. Our financial planning division, headed up by Brett Jackson, is fully self-licensed (AFSL No. 502 980) which our HNW and discerning clientele value); and our Tax Division, which is headed up by Mr Karl Jackson, brings 25 years of experience and mentorship to the Group, whom has a wealth of experience across all of the three divisions within our Group; and
Equity available within our broking division (Lantana Finance Pty Ltd ACN 655 887 586) after as little as 3 - 12 months, depending on the successful candidate. This can be contracted in, so as to provide the successful candidate with a legally binding, guarantee (conditional to performing to an acceptable level, measured very reasonably). This benefit is designed to ensure that the successful candidate can create an asset for themselves and to reward them for hard work;
The latest and best of software and hardware provided at no cost to the successful candidate;
Designated and high quality working station provided, in our private and large office, which is highly secure, including 24/7 access through your own keycard. 'Come and go as you like'. Detailed tour will be provided during the interview process for any candidates intending on spending day/s WFO. We also have a private boardroom, over which we have exclusive access to;
CBD carpark inside the building at 80 Collins Street available at no additional cost. This is highly secure with 24/7 security personal on site (highly relevant if wanting or needing to leave your vehicle these for several days). Otherwise, the office is 450m from Parliament Train Station; and
Lots of enjoyable team building exercises, including fully paid International or Domestic team trips (ask for examples!), monthly social events; and most critically of all - a NON negotiable commitment to enabling a desirable work-life balance. Talk is cheap - please ask for examples during the interview process - however I reiterate that the successful candidate will be their own boss from 'day one' through a Sub-Contractual/Sub-Authorised structuring.
Remuneration:
This role is ***commission only***. The income advertised in the job description is based on a budgeted forecast of commission received in the first year.
Cert IV:
While the Diploma is ideal, completion or near completion of Certificate IV in Finance and Mortgage Broking is acceptable for application purposes, as experienced candidates may be changing career direction.
Start Date:
This is flexible. While the candidate can commence on-boarding now; the position is equally open to those who may notice periods of up to 30 days.
Structure:
The successful candidate will be engaged as a ***Sub-Contractor***
