Astute Financial Wollongong/Bundaberg is a growing mortgage broking firm with long term experience in the industry and is a leading provider of lending/mortgage options. Based in both Wollongong NSW & Bundaberg QLD, we service clients Australia wide whether it be first home buyers, complex self-employed, SMSF or property investor finance as well as asset finance.

The role

We are looking for a Permanent, Full Time, Mortgage Broker Assistant to join the team. It is a remote based role with the ability to work from home however there is also the opportunity if preferred to work from our Bundaberg office. The role offers great opportunities for training and development in an rapidly growing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the Mortgage Brokers whether it be researching lender policy/loan options and workshopping lending scenario's, engaging with clients, banks and third-party professionals.

Key responsibilities include:

· liaising with clients to collect information/documentation required for finance applications

· Assisting mortgage brokers to prepare and submit finance applications to lenders

· Working with lenders from submission to settlement of an application in order to flow efficiently

· Working with third-party professionals including Lawyers, Financial Planners, Accountants, Real Estate Agents to support the lending process

· Maintaining accurate data/file notes on internal software/systems and CRM’s

We are looking for:

· Strong admin skills with high attention to detail but with ability to work with high volume

· Can work independently and remotely as well as within the team

· Proficient in Microsoft Office & ideally experience in Sales trekker/application lodgement software (not essential)

· Minimum 2 years experience in loan processing/mortgage broking particularly in analysing client options and packaging loan applications

· Excellent communication both verbal and written

· Knowledge of mortgage and lending products, regulations, and compliance requirements
