Be Part of Something Bigger: The Role
As a House Leader, you will do more than just manage day-to-day house operations - you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping the lives of our clients with the support of your Client Liaison Officer. You’ll oversee the coordination of services within a SIL home, ensuring our clients receive the highest level of care. In this full-time, hands-on role, you’ll work closely with the office staff, house team, clients, and their families to foster a supportive and nurturing environment.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Build Strong Relationships: As a consistent point of contact for clients and their families, you’ll build trust and ensure every interaction is positive and supportive.
- Deliver Quality Services: Coordinate services with Client Liaison Officers to ensure clients’ appointments, community participation, and daily support are aligned with their goals.
- Maintain Compliance: Oversee compliance with NDIS standards, house documentation, and reporting, ensuring quality service delivery that meets our high standards.
- Foster Team Collaboration: Lead a passionate team of support workers, guiding them to deliver person-centred care and creating a culture of excellence.
- Manage Risk and Behaviour Support: Implement and monitor positive behaviour support plans, manage risks, and ensure that restrictive practices are managed as required.
What You Bring to the Table:
- Leadership Experience: You have proven experience leading teams in a disability services environment.
- NDIS Knowledge: Strong understanding of NDIS standards, positive behaviour support, and restrictive practices.
- Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong connections with families, stakeholders, and support teams.
- Organisational Skills: You’re highly organised and can juggle multiple tasks while ensuring compliance and quality outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A capable and resilient leader
- Certificate III or Certificate IV or above in disability or equivalent
- Certificate IV in Mental Health or Disability highly regarded (or equivalent experience)
- Experienced in following Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP) essential
- Mental Health experience desirable
- Knowledge of AUSLAN highly regarded
- Blue Card with NDIS Worker Screening Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
- Current Driver’s Licence essential
- CPR/First Aid qualifications (or willingness to obtain).
