About the role

As a medical receptionist within our MATSICHS Team, you will be responsible for provision of a high standard of customer service, effective and efficient administration of client appointments, client data and client claims processing; plus, the provision of general administrative support to the Clinic Team. The position will actively contribute to the achievement of the Clinics business objectives, including increased practice patient numbers, attendance rates and billings.
Within this role, you will be required to:
- Adhere to practices to achieve high booking and attendance rates, including checking time requirements for each appointment, coordinating daily lists, ringing patients to confirm attendance, managing changes and follow up appointments, monitoring and managing patient flow
- Prepare for daily appointments by providing the client files and relevant materials available to clinic health professionals and visiting health professionals
- Provide services to all clients to the clinic including allied health and specialist health services, i.e. General, Family and Child Health, Podiatry, Optometry
- Ensure PIP, Medicare Claims and Work-cover claims are processed in accurate and timely fashion.
- Ensure claims are reconciled against received income and errors/discrepancies followed up
About you

- Current Blue Card (prior to commencement)
- Current Criminal History Check (willingness to obtain)
- Current CPR Certificate
- Current C Class Drivers Licence (Qld)
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people, or a genuine interest in expanding your skills, knowledge and capability to work in our sector.
