The Role:
Funded through competitive grants, service, and consultancy agreements, our research success is underpinned by excellence in project administration.
Menzies is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Administrator to provide expert administrative support across a portfolio of research projects.
Reporting to the Business Manager, this role will deliver high-level administrative support throughout the project lifecycle, including areas such as human resources, finance, and contract and grant management. Working within Menzies' policy framework, the Senior Project Administrator will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient and compliant delivery of research projects.
The successful candidate will demonstrate sound judgment, attention to detail, and the ability to escalate complex issues when required.

About you:
You are an experienced and highly organised administrator with a strong understanding of project and grant administration, ideally within a research or higher education environment.
You thrive in a dynamic setting, balancing competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality outcomes.
You demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, allowing you to effectively support research teams and collaborate across a range of stakeholders.
Your ability to interpret policies, manage budgets, and coordinate complex administrative processes is matched by your proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key to your success in this role will be your professionalism, initiative, and commitment to supporting impactful research through outstanding administrative support.
You also have:
- Graduate qualifications in a relevant discipline and relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant education, training and experience.
- Expertise in budgeting, financial management and reporting and the ability to effectively support with grant holders who may have limited accounting knowledge and financial managements skills.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively toward shared objectives and priorities, demonstrating resourcefulness and self-motivation.
- Demonstrated high level computing skills including online systems, programs, and platforms, cloud-based document management systems, and the ability to adapt to new technologies.

The benefits:
- Base Salary $99,341-$107,806 per annum (Total remuneration package including superannuation $123,442-$133,092 per annum).
- Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave.
- Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum and $2,650 meal and entertainment card tax free.
