About the role

Under general guidance from the client side, the Systems Designer will actively plan and manage the delivery of the Cyber Range activities. The Systems Designer is responsible for leading, planning, executing, managing and monitoring the Cyber Range design through to delivery according to predetermined timelines and budgets.

Role Responsibilities

• Determines security requirements by evaluating business strategies and requirements, researching information security standards; conducting system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments; studying existing stakeholders cyber architecture/platform and identifying uncovered issues
• Recommends/designs structures and tools for systems which meet business needs and takes into account target environment, performance security requirements and existing systems.
• Creates solutions which balance business requirements with information and cyber security requirements.
• Identifies security design gaps in existing and proposed architectures and recommends changes or enhancements

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience Windows and Linux operating systems
• Strong background as a system Designer on medium to large size projects
• Hold vendor certifications (Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, Linux Fortigate) – Highly desirable

Security Requirements:

To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current NV2 Security Clearance.
