South West Community Care is a not-for-profit Organisation and Registered Charity local to the South West, providing aged care and in-home services to the local community. It is managed by a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who is supported by a Chief Governance Officer and Management Team overseeing operations and supporting a team of over 120 employees and volunteers. The CEO, in conjunction with a volunteer Board of Management, sets the strategic direction for the organisation.

South West Community Care is managed locally and embraces the ‘Wellness’ Approach when delivering care to eligible older Australians in the Community approximately 1000 clients currently, providing services designed to maintain independence dignity and quality of life for our ageing community. These services are delivered by compassionate and caring staff working within the guidelines set out by the Aged Care Charter of Rights and Code of Conduct for Aged Care to deliver person centred care to optimise positive outcomes.

Position Purpose

Reporting to the Human Resources Consultant the purpose of your role is:

To lead recruitment activities and provide high-level consultative support and guidance to manage and deliver complete end-to-end recruitment solutions. The Recruitment Coordinator will collaborate with key stakeholders, to recruit talented individuals to support the needs of South West Community Care.

The role will partner with Hiring Managers to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruiting campaigns. Review, prepare and post job adverts, screen suitable applicants, schedule candidate interviews, reporting on vacancies and candidate progression will be a focus of the role.

Position Responsibilities

As a Recruitment Consultant, your responsibilities span the entire recruitment lifecycle, from initial client engagement to onboarding new hires.

Collaborating with hiring managers to understand job requirements;

Screening and evaluating candidates;

Coordination of, and participation in interviews;

Making employment offers and creating employment contracts; and

Assisting with onboarding.

To thrive in this role you will have:

  • Certificate IV in Business, Administration or Human Resources.
  • Proven experience in all stages of the recruitment process, from sourcing and screening to onboarding, as well as a strong understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build relationships with candidates, Hiring Managers, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to develop innovative and practical solutions to challenging situations.
  • Experience in planning, prioritising tasks to meet deadlines effectively, and managing workload efficiently under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 suite's core applications Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook with the ability to utilise them effectively in a professional setting.

Office Base Location

Based at the Australind Office but will be required to work from other sites.
