Seeking Senior Project Geologist, 3 days per week

Geologists must be based in Australia and have an Australian Visa

7 plus years geological experience, must have experience in Gold and running Projects

The projects are based In Qld so expected to FIFO into Qld

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor of Science in Geology,

Minimum of 7 years experience in mineral exploration;

Experience working with various exploration datasets and ability to conduct geological interpretation and develop working geological models;

Relevant understanding of QAQC procedures, drilling and sampling practices and standard gold industry laboratory analytical methods;

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; and

Has a current Australian Driver’s Licence (can drive a manual transmission).

Tasks & Responsibilities

Reports to the Board;

Commitment to working safely and the promotion of safe working practices with colleagues and contractors;

Planning, implementation and efficient management of exploration programs, including drilling, in a timely and safe manner; on budget and in compliance with Heritage and statutory requirements;

Assessment of exploration results and make recommendations for further work;

Generate and interpret targets utilising geological, geochemical and geophysical data;

Supervision of personnel to produce high quality geological logging of core and chips;

Able to work remotely if required;

Effective communication and leadership of field staff and contractors; and

Compilation of daily, weekly and monthly reporting.
