MPI have partnered with a dynamic and rapidly growing junior mining company focused on exploration and development projects across several Western Australian tenements. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Exploration Geologist to join this team. As a key leading member of this exploration division, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in advancing their exploration projects and contributing to the growth of the company.

The role:

Lead and manage exploration programs, ensuring they are executed efficiently, within budget, and in compliance with safety and environmental standards

Lead and mentor the existing team of geologists across multiple drilling programs

Conduct geological mapping, rock sampling, and data analysis to identify potential mineral deposits

Design and implement drilling programs, interpret drilling results, and provide geological models to guide resource estimation

Stay current with industry trends, technological advancements, and geological developments to enhance exploration strategies.

The requirements:

A minimum of 7 years of experience in mineral exploration, and a bachelor's or higher degree in Geology or a related field

A strong background in gold exploration within Australia

Proficiency in geological modelling software and GIS tools

Outstanding people management and leadership skills as well as technical proficiency

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
