Permanent, Full Time (1.0 FTE). Part Time (0.8 FTE) considered for the right applicant.
Salary range:
$73,454.91 - $77,202.66 per annum dependent on skills, qualifications and experience
$76,393.10 - $80,290.77 from July 1, 2025.
Opportunity:
The Albany Leisure and Aquatic Centre (ALAC) is looking for a passionate and customer focused individual to join their Aquatics Team as a Duty Manager.
Reporting to the Aquatics supervisor, this role will see you responsible for providing supervision to the Lifeguards under direction by the Aquatics Supervisor, maintaining a clean and safe centre for patrons and working across ALAC to provide friendly and professional customer experience.
About You:
The successful candidate will be required to have excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, the ability to supervise a small team, sound knowledge of pool operations and WHS and well-developed time management skills.
The Duty Manager role requires a Pool Operators and First Aid certification. Previous experience as a Duty Manager is highly desirable.

About City of Albany
Albany and its surrounds was home to the Menang Noongar people, the area was called Kinjarling which means "the place of rain". Archaeological excavations have found evidence of sites dating back over 18,000 years.
The first recorded sighting of the King George sound was in 1627. The following year the first map the south coast was produced which shows a bay and islands that is possibly King George sound. It was another 164 years before Commander George Vancouver on board Discovery sailed into the sound and named it for King George III.
