Position Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Production Engineer to join our dynamic operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, directing, and optimising our production processes and equipment to ensure operational efficiency, product quality, and safety compliance.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

Plan, direct, and coordinate the design, construction, modification, and maintenance of plant facilities and equipment.

Design plant layouts and coordinate manufacturing processes to enhance production capacity and efficiency.

Establish and monitor standards and procedures for production and operational quality assurance.

Monitor performance of production equipment and systems to ensure optimum productivity and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

Investigate production problems, analyse root causes, and implement technical solutions.

Oversee the maintenance and troubleshooting of machinery, ensuring timely repairs and preventative maintenance.

Liaise with engineering, technical, and production teams to ensure the smooth integration of new processes and equipment.

Implement and support automated and process control systems for enhanced production flow and quality.

Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and environmental standards within the plant.

Coordinate resources such as workforce, raw materials, and equipment to meet production targets efficiently.

Qualifications and Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Production, or related Engineering discipline (required)

Minimum of 1 year of relevant industry experience is mandatory

Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes and industrial equipment

Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis and efficiency improvement

Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment

Strong communication and organisational skills
