Karlka Recruiting Group has partnered with a Federal Government Agency to engage an experienced EL2 Podcast Production Coordinator & Host. This position is based in their Melbourne or Canberra office, with flexible work-from-home arrangements negotiable. The role is offered as a 7-month casual contract commencing on 01/06/2025, with possible extensions available.
About the Position
The EL2 Podcast Production Coordinator & Host will play a pivotal role in producing and presenting podcast content that aligns with the agency's communication strategies. Working under the direction of the Assistant Commissioner of Strategic Communications and Engagement, the successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end production of podcasts, including content development, hosting, and coordination of production elements.
This ad hoc position requires availability during podcast production periods to meet organisational needs.
Duties
- Develop and structure podcast content in collaboration with the Media and Editing team.
- Host podcast episodes, delivering engaging content aligned with the agency's tone.
- Conduct research to propose episode topics based on the agency's release schedule.
- Prepare background materials and summaries to assist in hosting duties.
- Coordinate the production of bonus content, including scheduling and content ideas.
- Edit recorded interviews and schedule episodes for publication.

Requirements/Skills
Essential
- Proven experience in podcast or media production workflows, particularly in relation to economics and finance.
- Strong research and writing skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Demonstrated experience in podcast hosting and familiarity with hosting platforms.
Desirable
- Ability to maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and creativity.
- Self-starter with clear communication skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
