About the Role

Dulwich Hill Early Learning Centre & Preschool is seeking a dedicated and passionate Childcare Cook to join our team. This role offers a unique opportunity to work independently within a well-equipped kitchen space, preparing nutritious and delicious meals for children aged 0–3 years.

This is a 4-week contract position, ideal for an experienced cook who enjoys autonomy, structure, and preparing meals that support children’s health and development. The role may evolve into an ongoing part-time position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve daily meals, including morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea

Follow a pre-approved, rotating seasonal menu tailored to meet children's dietary needs

Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment in line with relevant food safety regulations

Manage kitchen operations independently while maintaining effective communication with centre staff

Ensure meals are age-appropriate, culturally inclusive, and nutritionally balanced

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate
