Our client is a forward-thinking renewable energy company based in Brisbane, designing large-scale sustainable infrastructure and clean technology solutions. They have a strong pipeline of projects involving innovative residential villages that generate, store, and share energy. It is a brand-new style of renewable development which is growing in Australia at an incredibly fast pace.
Within their Brisbane team of 8 specialist electrical engineers, they are now seeking to add a dedicated Building Services Electrical Engineer.

The purpose of this position is to have a dedicated electrical building services engineer; to take ownership of the electrical design and delivery for the ‘clubhouse’ components of these villages – facilities that include cafés, gyms, bars, and shared spaces. While their core team of energy engineers focuses on the big picture electrical infrastructure, they need you to lead the building services side.

You’ll liaise directly with the client’s design division, attend project meetings, and ensure all electrical systems are designed and delivered smoothly. The role is largely autonomous, yet fully supported – offering a unique chance to step away from the traditional consultancy grind, with the space and flexibility to thrive in something you can call your own.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
• Experience in electrical building services design & project delivery
• Knowledge of Class 5 and 9b buildings ideal
• Proficiency in:
• Internal/external lighting, exit signage
• Power, data, dry fire, security, AV systems
• Basic control/automation and low voltage distribution/protection systems
• Design software: PowerCAD, AGI-32 (or similar)
• Drafting software: Revit (to produce all project documentation)
