Position Summary
We are seeking a Hydraulic Engineer with the ability to apply technical expertise in a way which balances commercial profitability, QA adherence, risk management and project leadership. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong attention to detail, exceptional time management and clear communication skills with all members of project teams. You will also have a proactive approach to problem-solving within a collaborative project environment.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Execute hydraulic design, documentation, and contract administration.
Undertake design tasks in accordance with relevant codes, NCC and company standards/briefs.
Contribute to the development and constant improvement of internal processes such as design and calculation tools.
Engage clients proactively, embodying Plexus Engineers' values in all interactions.
Represent the company positively in interactions with external stakeholders.
Foster a positive company culture through your behaviors and attitudes.
Knowledge and Skills
2+ years’ experience of hydraulic services design for buildings in Australia.
Experience with hydraulic design software tools such as H2X.
Proficient in general design tools such as Bluebeam and MS Office.
Skills in Revit, AutoCAD, Navisworks are strongly desirable but not required.
Knowledge in National Construction Code (NCC).
Strong understanding of design documentation workflows.
Strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to deadlines, attention to detail, and professional work ethic.
Diverse experience in a range of project types.
Experience in healthcare is advantageous.
Education & Experience
Hold a recognised Tertiary Engineering Qualification or other relevant qualification
2+ years’ experience in similar role
