ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are seeking a proactive and hands-on experienced Yard Manager to oversee operations at our clients yard facility.

Monday to Friday with a half day on a Saturday.

Background in Scaffolding / Rigging desired.

Forklift and HR Licence required.

Key Duties and Responsibilities -

• Team Management: Lead and supervise a team of approximately 10 yard staff, allocating daily tasks and monitoring performance to ensure productivity, safety, and compliance with company standards.
• Logistics & Operations: Oversee the scheduling, preparation, and dispatch of materials to various sites, coordinating with project managers and site supervisors to understand material requirements, delivery timelines, and return schedules.
• Inventory & Equipment Management: Manage yard inventory levels to support current and upcoming projects, ensuring availability of required components. Oversee inspections and maintenance of gear to ensure safety and compliance with industry standards.
• Yard Organisation & Safety: Maintain a well-organised, clean, and safe yard environment. Ensure that equipment is stored and handled correctly to prevent damage or injury. Conduct regular yard inspections and implement improvements to workflow and layout where required.
• Invoicing & Material Quantification: Quantify and record materials used for each project, ensuring accurate billing. Prepare and process invoices for materials dispatched, coordinating with the accounts department to ensure timely and accurate billing.
• Communication & Coordination: Act as a key point of contact between the yard and internal teams including operations, transport, and project delivery. Liaise with suppliers, transport contractors, and site personnel to coordinate logistics effectively. Report on yard activity, staffing, equipment usage, and invoicing to management.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Driver’s License - HR
• Forklift Licence (HRWL - LF)
• Own transport
• OHS White/Blue Card
• Rights to Work in Australia
• Must be based in Perth.

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a Pre-Employment Medical and Drug and Alcohol Screen testing.
