Take ownership of operations | Lead a capable team | Monday–Friday role | Perth-based
We’re partnering with a long-established WA business that supplies critical mobility and independent living products across wholesale and retail markets. Known for its practical culture, stability, and commitment to customer service, the business is now seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of its Perth warehouse.
This role is ideal for a capable, hands-on leader who thrives on structure, accountability, and results. You’ll be trusted to run the warehouse like your own business unit, with the autonomy to lead, improve, and deliver.
The Opportunity – A Leadership Role with Real Impact
You’ll oversee a small but high-performing warehouse team and be responsible for all operational elements, from inbound receipting and stock accuracy to dispatch performance, safety, and team development. You’ll work closely with senior management, have access to an ERP system, and be empowered to make decisions that enhance efficiency, safety, and service quality.
This is more than just a supervisory role; it’s a chance to build a warehouse operation that runs with clarity, flow, and precision.
Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations – Take Command of Daily Execution
This role puts you at the centre of all physical warehouse activity. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end flow of goods through the facility, from receiving to dispatch, and for making sure every shift runs on time, to standard, and without disruption. You’ll set the tone and pace for a warehouse that operates with discipline and responsiveness.
Lead all core warehouse functions, including unloading, receipting, stock put-away, replenishment, order picking, packing, and dispatch
Manage daily priorities to ensure customer orders are completed and dispatched on schedule
Develop structured shift workflows that balance productivity, safety, and freight deadlines
Liaise with freight and courier partners to confirm dispatch arrangements and resolve transport issues quickly
Ensure the warehouse layout supports logical, efficient movement of goods and complies with all WHS requirements
Inventory Management – Keep Stock Accurate and Accountable
Stock control is a critical part of this role. You’ll maintain system accuracy and physical stock alignment, ensuring the warehouse operates with full transparency. You'll work closely with internal teams to resolve variances and proactively manage inventory risks.
Perform routine cycle counts and full quarterly stocktakes, reporting on accuracy, anomalies, and trends
Maintain precise records in the ERP system to reflect stock levels, bin locations, and transactional movements
Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies in collaboration with the purchasing and customer service teams
Identify ageing, slow-moving, or obsolete stock and recommend action (write-off, reallocation, or clearance)
Implement improvements to stock flow and accuracy that reduce write-offs and improve picking success rates
People Leadership – Build a Capable and Accountable Team
Your leadership will be instrumental in shaping warehouse culture. You’ll lead a small team of warehouse staff, ensuring everyone understands expectations, performs to standard, and contributes to a safe, efficient work environment. This includes coaching, mentoring, and performance oversight.
Supervise and support a team of approximately five warehouse staff across all core tasks
Assign daily responsibilities based on team capability and operational needs
Deliver structured training on safety protocols, equipment usage, and inventory handling
Lead onboarding for new hires, providing clear expectations from day one
Conduct regular one-on-ones to review performance, provide feedback, and recognise development opportunities
Build a respectful, accountable team culture where high standards are the norm
Process Improvement – Create Smarter, Faster Systems
Your warehouse should not only function, but it should also improve. You’ll be responsible for identifying inefficiencies in warehouse layout, process flow, or task sequencing, and for leading improvements that drive speed, accuracy, and productivity. This is where practical operational thinking turns into measurable results.
Audit current warehouse processes and implement upgrades that eliminate waste or manual rework
Lead layout changes, process tweaks, or technology adoption to streamline warehouse performance
Track operational KPIs (e.g., pick accuracy, dispatch timelines, stock loss) to guide improvement efforts
Collaborate with the leadership team to share insights, propose changes, and trial new ideas
Encourage your team to contribute suggestions for better workflows and safer practices
Safety & Compliance – Protect People and Operations
Safety isn’t optional, it’s your daily standard. You’ll ensure the warehouse complies with WHS legislation, maintains risk readiness, and operates in a way that protects both staff and assets. You’ll lead by example and embed safety practices into the rhythm of every shift.
Conduct daily safety checks, monitor warehouse hazards, and keep registers up to date
Run toolbox talks, safety briefings, and induction refreshers to build ongoing awareness
Ensure correct use of PPE, manual handling practices, and emergency protocols
Oversee the inspection and maintenance of all equipment, including forklifts, jacks, and racking
Maintain documentation for internal audits and external WHS reviews, always keeping the warehouse audit-ready
