Your role at St John of God Murdoch Hospital
As a Registered Nurse in our Day Surgery Centre, you will be responsible for the provision of safe and compassionate clinical care at all stages of the perioperative journey, from pre-surgery, in theatre and post-surgery. You will experience different aspects of the entire patient surgical journey, which is both exciting and extremely rewarding.
Registered Nurses with PACU and/or Scrub Scout experience are encouraged to apply.
The Position
- Assess, plan, deliver and evaluate patient care, seeking support from senior staff as required
- Promotes and contribute to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within the department and within the hospital
- Provide patient education and act as a resource where appropriate
- Support and supervise staff and students as required, including orientating and preceptoring staff
- Contribute to the achievement of Hospital and Clinical Services operational objectives
You will hold current registration with Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse, with demonstrated commitment to quality patient care and satisfaction, along with well-developed interpersonal and relationship building skills.
To succeed you will have an ability to work effectively and harmoniously within the multi-disciplinary health care team, with a commitment to ongoing education and professional development. Previous PACU and/or Scrub Scout experience will be highly regarded.

- Salary: $76,991 - $101,314, (pro rata of part time) plus 11.5% superannuation
- $48.55 to $63.89 per hour (inclusive of casual loading), plus 11.5% superannuation
