About the role
Swan Active Beechboro are on the lookout for a Swim School Team Leader to work on a permanent part-time basis (26 hours per fortnight).
We are searching for a talented Team Leader to join our Swan Active team. This is an exceptional opportunity to showcase your skills and passion for water safety while ensuring an enjoyable experience for everyone.
Reporting to the Swim School Supervisor, the Swim School Team Leaders assist in the administration and coordination of the Swim School program, including swim teaching/instruction, enrolments, liaison with clients and general duties.
We are seeking someone who has a true love for water safety and a knack for making everyone feel welcome. If you are enthusiastic, energetic, and ready to make a splash with our team, we would love to hear from you.
Key Accountabilities include, but are not limited to;
- Liaise with other staff to maximise the potential of the centre and its programs.
- Provide advice and information to other staff on the operation of the swim school.
- Create a positive relationship in all customer interactions whilst maintaining a professional and friendly manner to maximise customer satisfaction and retention.
- Perform other administrative duties as required from time to time.
- Provide support and training in the water, to both staff and students, when required.
- Enter the water to cover classes when required.
- Apply and adhere to the Swim School Terms and Conditions.
- Assist with the development and training of new staff.
- Ability to work early mornings, late evenings and weekends
About you
The successful candidate will have the following:
- Previous experience in teaching swimming to a range of levels and ages
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Current Working with Children’s Check or willingness to obtain to commence employment
- Current First Aid and CPR certificate
- Current Austswim, ASCTA or RLSSWA teaching qualifications
- Current Bronze Medallion would be considered advantageous
- Current Swim Teachers Rescue Award or equivalent
- A satisfactory National Police Certificate

The salary for this position will be from $66,169.68 to $71,294.82 per annum pro-rata, depending on the skills and experience of the successful applicant.
