About the Role:
Reporting to the Warehouse Operations Manager, The Team Leader - Warehouse (TLW) role is a permanent full-time position, located at Foodbank's branch in Bunbury. The role supports the organisation's welfare agencies and the local community through the procurement and provision of quality food to improve the health and wellbeing of people in need.
The role is responsible for the day to day operation of the Warehouse, ensuring operating compliance standards and the daily physical operational execution of all trading areas are met. The role is vital in ensuring that the organisation meets its obligations to help those in need, ensuring the floor area is well stocked, well presented, safe and clean.
This role focusses heavily upon the ability to work with both employees and potentially unskilled volunteers. The role assumes the responsibility for the coordination and management of branch stock allocations in all temperature zones and the distribution thereof.
Key Responsibilities
- Developing and maintaining a safe, constructive and effective working environment
- Fostering excellent and safe operating standards
- Leading and managing a team comprised of staff and volunteers
- Planning and scheduling production of hamper packs and bundles to ensure supply is maintained for branches, hubs and mobile service
- Developing and maintaining workflows and rosters for volunteers
- Managing and inducting corporate and public volunteers as necessary
- Ensuring that all stock on the floor is fit for purpose, is presented appropriately and that rotation is managed appropriately
Job Requirements
To be successful in this role you will possess prior experience in a leadership role including wholesale operations coupled with the ability to work in a pressured environment. In addition you will have sound knowledge of OH&S procedures, including COR Awareness of Foodsafe requirements.
Additional Requirements:
If successful for the position, be able to provide the following:
- Proof of Australian Citizenship / Permanent Residency with valid Australian working rights
- Current and valid WA Drivers' License
- Current and valid forklift licence
- MR licence (desirable)
- National Police clearance
- Medical assessment of current health
