The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Research Officer to lead the delivery of high-impact, collaborative clinical research across Australia and New Zealand. Based within the School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine, this role supports the ANZMUSC Clinical Trials Network—a Centre of Research Excellence at the forefront of musculoskeletal health.

The Senior Research Officer will be Executive Officer for ANZMUSC, you will coordinate and drive the strategic and operational delivery of the Network's national research agenda. This includes governance oversight, reporting, stakeholder engagement (with clinicians, researchers and consumers), and supporting grant applications and knowledge translation.

You’ll be part of a passionate multidisciplinary team within the Musculoskeletal Health and Wiser Healthcare Units, working closely with one of the largest schools of public health in the Asia Pacific. Our focus is on improving lives through evidence-based practice, policy translation, and equitable health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver ANZMUSC’s 2-year work plan, impact reporting, and business strategy
• Provide specialist support for high-quality research coordination and reporting
• Lead governance, engagement and knowledge exchange across clinical and academic partners
• Coordinate committees, seed grants and operational logistics
• Maintain strong partnerships with a diverse range of stakeholders including clinicians, researchers, funders and consumers

About You

You will bring:

• A degree in a relevant field or equivalent combination of experience and education
• Proven expertise in research coordination or clinical trials administration
• Strong project management, stakeholder engagement and communication skills
• Experience working with research networks or in health-related settings
• Ability to lead day-to-day operations with initiative, insight and independence
