About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated HR Consultant (AO4) to support workforce operations within the Forestry Business Services team. Based in the Brisbane CBD, this role is critical in delivering high-quality administrative and HR support to Forestry staff across Queensland, including teams located in Dalby, Nambour and Rockhampton.
Key Responsibilities
As part of this opportunity, the successful candidate will be required to:
- Provide timely and accurate advice on workforce management
- Oversee recruitment, selection, onboarding, and offboarding processes
- Support compliance
- Foster professional relationships with Forestry staff
- Monitor and report on establishment data and staffing arrangements
- Ensure accurate completion of HR documentation and maintain HR information systems.
- Assist staff with advice on departmental policies and procedures.
- Have a sound understanding or the ability to rapidly acquire the knowledge and application of HR practices relevant to the role.
- Demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to foster and sustain robust relationships with a diverse array of internal and external clients.
- Contribute to the enhancement of HR systems by providing insights and innovative solutions.
- Collaborate with HR professionals and undertake projects to improve business support practices.
Highly Desirable Experience
- Relevant transferable experience within HR
- Confidence, initiative, and the ability to work independently.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a team and establish positive working relationships with industry, clients, and staff.
Additional Information
- Working hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday between 6am–6pm.
- Pay Rate: $58.02 per hour (AO4 level) + superannuation.
- Travel & Expenses: Reimbursed in line with Queensland Government Directive 13/23, with prior approval.
Eligibility Requirements Applicants must be:
- An Australian citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with work rights in Australia.
- Willing to undergo referee checks and a criminal history check.
- Prepared to disclose any serious disciplinary actions or conflicts of interest if applicable.
