McCarthy Durie Lawyers (MDL) is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Legal Secretary to join our Commercial Litigation team. Based in our Brisbane CBD office, this role offers an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional and supportive environment.

About the Role
This role provides a unique chance to work alongside experienced legal professionals in a dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

Providing administrative and secretarial support to the Commercial Litigation team.

Preparing and formatting legal documents, correspondence, and court forms.

Managing calendars, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings.

Liaising with clients and internal stakeholders professionally and effectively.

Handling file management, including electronic and hard copy filing.

Assisting with billing and invoicing processes.

About You
We are looking for a candidate with:

At least 1 year of experience as a legal secretary or in a similar role.

Strong organisational and time-management skills with excellent attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with legal practice management systems (experience with Nebulaw or similar systems is advantageous).

Exceptional communication skills and a client-focused attitude.

A proactive approach to tasks and a willingness to learn.
