HarperLloyd Recruitment is a legal specialist recruitment firm working with private practice firms, and we are currently partnering with a well-established, mid-sized suburban firm based in Brisbane’s Bayside, to find an experienced Legal Secretary to join their team.

This full-time position is ideal for a legal secretary with experience in Wills & Estates and Family Law. You’ll work across a mix of estate planning, powers of attorney, deceased estate administration and family law matters, supporting a friendly and experienced team in a client-focused environment.

The Role

This is a full-time Legal Secretary role supporting fee earners across Wills, Estates and Family Law. You’ll be an integral part of a close-knit team delivering meaningful legal support.

Your duties will include, but not be limited to:

  • Preparation of legal documents and correspondence
  • Draft and prepare Wills, Powers of Attorney, and probate documents with accuracy and attention to legal requirements
  • Liaise with clients, beneficiaries, and executors
  • Coordinate estate administration, including court filings, asset management, and correspondence
  • Manage lawyers’ diaries, client meetings, and file maintenance
  • Handle general administrative duties such as billing, trust entries, scanning, and archiving

About You

You will be someone with:

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a Legal Secretary role
  • Prior experience in Wills, Estates or Family Law highly regarded
  • A professional and client-focused manner
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Confidence using legal software eg LEAP
  • A proactive and team-oriented working style
