Responsibilities

Provide strong leadership to hotel staff, including hiring, training, and managing performance to ensure a high level of service and guest satisfaction.

Take the lead on back office management including managing reservations, and keeping the business up-to-date with financial and legal compliance.

Oversee the operation of the hotel bar, including inventory management, staff supervision, and adherence to responsible alcohol service practices.

Oversee all aspects of hotel operations, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, administration, and events management.

Ensure guest satisfaction by addressing guest concerns, implementing service improvements, and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service.

Develop and manage the hotel's budget, including revenue management, expense control, and financial reporting.

Ensure the safety and security of guests and staff by implementing and enforcing hotel policies and procedures.

Oversee maintenance and repairs of hotel facilities and equipment to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and brand standards.

Skills and Experience Required

Tertiary qualification or industry experience in lieu

Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.

Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and ordinances pertaining to accommodation and licensed venue operation.

Leadership qualities to effectively manage staff and drive operational excellence.

Proficiency in computer systems and reservation management software.

Ability to handle challenging situations with tact and diplomacy.

Minimum 1 year work experience in hospitality or accommodation environment.
