We offer
$74,929 - $84,285 per annum based on skills/experience + superannuation.
Annual salary increase every year based on CPI.
Salary packaging (up to $15,899 a year, + meal/entertainment benefit of $2,650 a year).
5 weeks annual leave per year + additional leave to cover Christmas shutdown period + 17.5% loading
10 days Noongar Cultural Leave per annum

The role
The Administration Coordinator plays a pivotal role in supporting the daily operations of the Corporation by performing a wide range of administrative tasks. This role is critical in maintaining effective communication, managing office operations, and ensuring that all administrative processes are carried out efficiently. The Administration Coordinator serves as a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders.

Based in Vasse with adhoc travel required througout the Karri Karrak region.

Full-time – Contract, fixed term for 2 years
About us
The Karri Karrak Aboriginal Corporation is the regional corporation for the South West Boojarah region. This region refers to the Wardandi and Bibbulmun/Piblemen Noongar language or dialectical groups. It encompasses towns including Busselton, Capel, Margaret River, Witchcliffe, Augusta, Windy Harbour, Northcliffe, Pemberton, Manjimup, Bridgetown and Nannup. The approximate size of the South West Boojarah region is 10,085 sq kms.
There are a number of significant sites in the South West Boojarah region. These include caves, some of which are the homes of mythological beings, ceremonial sites, rock art, paintings and artefacts. Cultural sites of significance also include the Nannup Caves, Jewel Cave, Devil’s Lair and a Birthing Lake.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Provide high level, day-to-day administrative support, including answering phones, handling inquiries, and managing emails.
Prepare, edit and review documents including reports, briefing papers, correspondence, submissions, and advice, when required.
Co-ordinate the administration of Activity Notices and oversee management of follow-up action required.
Co-ordinate the administration of Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Surveys and Cultural Heritage Monitoring incl. but not limited to, engagement of Traditional Owners and all associated logistics, stakeholder engagement, and invoicing.
Provide high level meeting administrative support, including agenda preparation, travel allowance, logistics and accurate minute-taking.
Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure Noongar/Aboriginal values are understood, respected and appropriate protocols are followed as afforded under legislation and lore.
Attend heritage surveys (where required), and liaise with government, mining companies, other proponents, anthropologists / archaeologists, heritage service providers and other consultants.
Undertake basic finance duties including credit card reconciliation, invoicing, and receipt processing for Management staff.
Other duties as directed.
Selection Criteria:
Essentials
Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite and ability to use databases and information management systems.
Demonstrated experience in a similar role.
Well-developed written and oral communication skills in a cross-cultural context, including an ability to prepare reports, memos, and other documentation (including maps).
Knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal society and culture and the issues affecting Aboriginal communities, particularly around Aboriginal heritage, native title, and other land matters.
Ability to interpret and apply legislation and policies.
Problem solving skills and initiative.
Current drivers’ licence.
Desirable
An understanding of Western Australian land tenure.
