Establishing new offices on Hampton Road Nedlands Granny Flats WA are relocating and expanding our administration department and facilitating flexible hours and conditions to suit local applicants to assist in making this a work and family friendly work environment.
We are seeking both senior and junior staff ideally with previous exposure to the building administration arena and are keen to move into a great family business operating in WA for over 25 years.
Junior applicants with a keenness to work in administration in building industry are also welcome to apply as training will be provided and company advancement available over time.
Generating over 250 building contracts per year the company is dynamically growing which is a very exciting time to jump on board as we are able to provide prospect of growth within the business. management roles mentoring new staff and leading and working within a great team.
Initial training at Booragoon Head office with new offices expected to be completed by end of June/July.
Start times will be after June 10 through to end of June to allow suitable notice to existing employers to be provided.
Granny Flats WA is seeking an experienced Building Administration Manager to join our new team in new offices in Nedlands, Western Australia. This is a full-time position that will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and effective administration of our construction projects.
What you'll be doing
Overseeing all administrative aspects of our construction approvals projects, including document management, record-keeping, and coordinating with various stakeholders and liasing with local councils
Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with all relevant building codes and regulations
Maintaining and updating project schedules and timelines for council approvals
Providing administrative support to the project management team as needed
Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance the efficiency of our operations
What we're looking for
Minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar building administration or office management role
Excellent knowledge of building codes, regulations, and compliance requirements
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
Proficient in using office software, including Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders
A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset, with a keen eye for detail
