Business Systems Analyst | Finance Systems Focus | Professional Services

An organisation within the professional services industry is seeking a proactive and technically skilled Business Systems Analyst to join their team in a permanent role, reporting directly to the Deputy CFO. This position plays a key role in supporting and enhancing core finance systems, with a focus on system upgrades, process improvement, and vendor engagement.

The role offers a flexible hybrid working arrangement, with a 50/50 split between the office and working from home.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee finance and legal-specific systems and ensure they meet business needs;
• Lead the upgrade of the organisation’s billing system;
• Act as the bridge between business users and technical vendors;
• Identify and implement process improvements and system enhancements; and
• Write and run SQL queries to support data analysis and troubleshooting.

What we’re looking for

• Experience working on finance systems (e.g. billing, ERP);
• Strong technical BA capabilities, with experience translating business needs into system solutions;
• Ability to write and interpret SQL queries;
• A proactive attitude and a focus on continuous improvement; and
• Technical experience working on finance-related projects.
