Business Analyst | Lead Systems Analyst

This role will work within multi-discipline delivery teams, following agile principles to support and evaluate existing ICT systems, propose modifications and additional system components or new systems development of new IT systems. Working closely with business subject matter experts, end users, developers and other technical specialists, the role will conduct analysis and define requirements that enable IP Australia to achieve its target state vision.

Under the direction of the projects teams, your tasks will include:

Conducting research and in-depth analysis of existing business processes, data and products.

Engaging with business stakeholders to understand their needs and express these as user stories and requirements.

Collaborating with subject matter experts, end users, product owners, architects, developers, database administrators and testers to design and deliver solutions.

Work in an agile way focused on iterative value delivery using lean/DevOps approaches.

Supporting the team’s delivery managers.

Sprint planning with delivery teams.

Sprint ceremonies and continuous improvement.

In addition to these accountabilities and responsibilities you will:

Contribute to agile/delivery/project management practices in IP Australia.

Support the ongoing development.

Senior Test Analyst

Under the direction of the project team, your tasks will include:

Develop, maintain and execute test cases based on business and technical requirements and specifications.

Lead the execution of function, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.

Identify, document, and manage defects throughout the SDLC using Jira.

Collaborate closely with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to ensure test coverage.

Provide clear and concise test progress updates, including risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will:

Support agile and project management practices within IP Australia.

Maintain a continuous improvement mindset in all testing activities.
