The Opportunity
Our Client seeking a dynamic Senior Accounts Receivable / Credit Officer to join their finance team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate data records, managing collections, resolving customer queries and claims, and supporting the broader accounts receivable function. They are looking for someone with strong technical skills in excel and SAP, and ideally with experience in a fast-paced retail environment.

The Role

Duties will include:

• Maintain and update customer account data with high accuracy.
• Proactively manage collections to ensure timely receipt of payments.
• Investigate and resolve customer queries and claims efficiently.
• Analyse account trends and outstanding debts to minimize risk.
• Collaborate with internal teams (Sales, Customer Service, Finance) to resolve account discrepancies.
• Utilise strong Excel skills for reporting, reconciliations, and data analysis.
• Leverage SAP S/4HANA for day-to-day AR operations and reporting.
• Identify and implement process improvements to optimize AR operations.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• 3-5+ years experience in Accounts Receivable or Credit Control, ideally within the retail sector.
• Proficiency in SAP or a large ERP system and excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, Countif).
• Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
• Proactive, solutions-focused mindset with the ability to think outside the box.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Proven ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A desire to grow, take on additional responsibility, and contribute to team success.
