Jetwave Quayside are currently seeking a highly motivated and experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team in South Fremantle.

The Accounts Receivable position is responsible for managing all aspects of accounts receivable functions, including invoicing, collections and reconciliations. The position will also be responsible for financial reporting to management and resolving any outstanding issues related to accounts receivable within Quayside’s financial operations. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

This is a part-time position 0.6 FTE, typically worked over three days per week. However, alternative arrangements such as shorter days spread across the week to align with school hours will be considered

Skills and Qualifications

Understanding of basic principles of finance, accounting, and bookkeeping.

2+ years of experience in accounts receivable or related accounting role.

Ability to keep company and partner confidences.

Knowledge of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to accounting.

Proficiency in Simpro, Xero and Microsoft Office Suite.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

Generate and distribute accurate and timely invoices to customers.

Monitor accounts receivable reports and follow up on outstanding accounts.

Communicate with customers via phone, email, and mail to resolve outstanding payment issues.

Process incoming payments and apply them accurately to customer accounts.

Reconcile discrepancies between invoiced amounts and payments received.

Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate records of all accounts receivable transactions.

Assist with month-end financial activities and monthly reporting.

Provide support to the accounting team as needed, including assisting with audits and financial reporting.

Continuously identify opportunities for process improvements to streamline accounts receivable processes and enhance efficiency.

Ad-hoc duties as requested by the Management team.

Attend meetings with the Finance & Management team as and when required.

Conduct all work with a polite and professional manner at all times.

Ability to take instructions from management but also work unsupervised.

Strong communication skills across all levels of the business including management, colleagues, clients and suppliers.

Supervision

The position reports to the Company Finance Manager. There are no direct reports to this position.
