About the role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join our team at Aurum Poultry Co Pty Ltd in Albion, Victoria on a contract basis. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the company's accounts receivable and credit control functions, playing a crucial part in maintaining our financial health and cash flow.

What you'll be doing

Monitor and process receipts promptly and accurately across company branches and group entities

Processing customer payments and refunds and allocating them to the correct accounts

Monitoring and maintaining accurate accounts receivable records

Prepare bank reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner

Identify overdue accounts and collect aged debts

Continuously evaluating and implementing improvements in debt recovery and collections procedures

Identifying and resolving any discrepancies or issues with customer accounts

Providing detailed reports and analysis which provide insight into accounts receivable performance

Collaborating with other departments to ensure effective credit control procedures

Communicating with customers to resolve billing inquiries and disputes

Foster strong and positive relationships with customers to facilitate a smooth accounts receivable process with internal and external stakeholders

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years' experience in an accounts receivable role, preferably within the manufacturing or FMCG industry

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve accounts receivable issues

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with customers and internal stakeholders

Proficient in using accounting software and spreadsheets to maintain accurate records. MYOB Advanced preferable

Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines and targets

Exceptional attention to detail and a high degree of numerical accuracy
