The Role: Senior Sous Chef

This is your chance to take a leadership role in one of Byron’s most prestigious kitchens. You’ll support our Head Chef in leading the team, crafting inspiring menus, and delivering unforgettable dishes. If you're hungry to push boundaries, mentor talent, and be part of something special, we want to hear from you.

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Senior Sous Chef in a high-performing kitchen
• 5+ years in top-tier venues – experience in Michelin-starred or Hatted restaurants highly regarded
• Proven ability to lead both à la carte and function service, including weddings and large-scale events
• A natural leader who inspires and supports their team through collaboration and mentorship
• Deep passion for local, seasonal produce, with a strong understanding of sustainable food practices
• Steady under pressure with a solutions-first mindset and a drive for constant improvement
• Excellent communication skills and a team-first attitude
• Fully eligible to work in Australia, with flexibility for day, night, and weekend shifts
