Key Objectives

  • Promote Klaro Industrial Design’s products and services to prospective clients, generating and increasing leads through effective marketing strategies.
  • Oversee the design and development of new product lines and custom furniture solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Generate project leads, manage the quotation process, and develop supporting design drawings.
  • Deliver impactful product presentations to clients.
  • Collaborate with clients to create bespoke furniture designs tailored to their needs.
  • Prepare and present sales, marketing, and client data at quarterly management meetings.
  • Manage and mentor the Sales and Marketing Assistant and junior staff.
  • Provide product training to junior staff members.
  • Create product designs, shop drawings, and manufacturing instruction sheets.
  • Communicate with clients regarding design progress, quotes, and delivery timelines.
  • Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to drive business growth.
  • Manage the e-commerce platform, website, and social media presence, including content creation and network management.
  • Design digital and printed media materials.
  • Strengthen relationships with existing clients and develop strategies to attract new leads and sales.
  • Plan, prepare, and attend trade shows, including creating presentations and props.
  • Conduct product photoshoots, retouch images, and manage their placement on digital platforms.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • Conduct three client presentations per week.
  • Deliver one showroom presentation per month.
  • Execute bi-monthly state and interstate presentations, aiming for 4–8 presentations over two days.
  • Achieve annual marketing goals:
  • Generate $1 million in sales annually.

Skills and Experience

  • A tertiary qualification in Industrial Design, Urban Design, Bespoke Furniture Design, or a related field is essential.
  • Additional qualifications in Sales, Marketing, Advertising, or Business Development are advantageous.
  • A creative mindset and artistic vision are highly valued.
  • Exceptional attention to detail is a must.
  • Minimum of 12 months experience in business development within the commercial or bespoke furniture industry.
  • Proven ability to manage e-commerce platforms effectively.
  • Experience in instructing and managing junior staff.
  • Strong communication skills for conveying design and technical information.
  • Solid knowledge of sales growth strategies and business development techniques.
