About the Role

We are currently seeking a technically minded person, who is passionate about the agriculture industry and has experience in Ruminant and/or stockfeed consultancy. The position is based in New South Wales to directly liaise business to business with Stockfeed suppliers, Intensive livestock clientele (Dairy), and consultants. Strong production knowledge of farming, program management, and feed mill practices is required.

Key responsibilities include:

Growing Alltech Lienert Sales in the Ruminant Sector through technical support and agricultural consulting.

Maintain strong relationships and provide technical solutions to help increase future growth, profitability and sustainability for companies and customers alike.

Developing and maintaining strong customer relationships, advising on best practices with regards to animal production, husbandry, seasonal programming, and nutrition.

Provide information to producers regarding risks associated with their business operations (livestock diseases, biosecurity, crop and pasture diseases, nutritional pitfalls).

Regular assessment of the region including marketing and technical consulting advice. Often interacting with global partners to maintain trial stability between their visits to Australia.

Doing routine data assessments and sample collection on farm in relation to animal health and production and the production of quality feed.

Become familiar with Alltech E-CO2 carbon footprint assesment tool, be able to conduct farm and feed mill audits regarding carbon output intensity.

About You

The ideal candidate will have proven experience working in a similar field, relationship management skills, exceptional communication skills and be a strong self-motivator.

You will also demonstrate the following essential attributes:

Translatable experience in Ruminant Production and/or Animal Nutrition sector

Be commercially and technically astute with ability to identify opportunities.

Ability to travel regularly within your region and occasionally interstate or overseas.

Consciousness to ensure continuous compliance of company WH&S and quality procedures.
