Reporting to the NSW & ACT Sales Manager, the Technical Inside Sales Coordinator will provide support to our Business Development Team by coordinating requirements with internal design and engineering teams.

The Technical Inside Sales Coordinator will be responsible for supporting sales activities generated by the NSW & Act Business Development team. You will be required to liaise with all business development personnel and, where necessary, prospective clients with a view of facilitating the specification, modelling and costing of appropriate technical solutions that meet the client’s needs.

To be successful in this exciting position, you will have well developed communication skills and be able to develop solid working relationships with all stakeholders. This position will require close liaison with the Business Development team, clients/prospects and internal design and engineering teams.

Technical experience in the civil and construction industry would be highly advantageous however any technical experience, i.e. mechanical, electrical etc would be considered.

The successful candidate will work closely with Ocean Protect’s NSW & ACT Sales Manager and the in-field business development team to ensure the smooth operation of the local business development activities.

As an important member of a small and highly skilled team, you will have the drive and commitment to “make it happen” working closely with the company’s senior executives, industry partners and internal engineering personnel.

Your duties will consist of:

This is a professional business development support function focussed on coordinating internal technical resources with a view of increasing sales productivity. This role will also manage inbound sales enquires.

An important aspect of the role is your capacity to understand technical drawings and concepts so as to brief and liaise with our internal design team to delivering proposals, quotations and presentation that drive the business development sales cycle.

The Technical Inside Sales Coordinator is to maintain the CRM system to highlight prospective customers on behalf of the BDM team, maximising Ocean Protect’s product uptake.

The Technical Inside Sales Coordinator will:

Represent Ocean Protect in a professional manner.

Provide internal Business Development teams with the internal technical interface to the design & engineering teams to foster costings, designs and technical specification to prepare competitive proposals.

Manage all inbound sales enquires and where necessary pass on to the BDM team.

Optimise the business opportunities from existing and prospective clients as delegated.

Provide accurate weekly sales forecasts and reports as required.

Maintain the CRM ensuring the revenue pipeline is up to date against team budgets as defined.

Coordinate with the internal design team to provide the Business Development Managers the necessary Models, costings and presentations to further the sale opportunity.

Work with Ocean Protect sales teams to prepare proposals and respond to various tenders.

Assist in general administration task including handling inbound calls.

This role is ultimately responsible for supporting and coordinating sales opportunities on behalf of the Business Development manager to facilitate increased sales productivity within the ACT & NSW Territory.

Previous Inside Sales support experience

3 years work experience in a technical support role

A positive methodical work attitude and a drive to succeed.

The work is largely based in Sydney with some activity in the broader NSW & ACT Region.

As an important member of a small and highly skilled team, you will have the drive and commitment to “make it happen” working closely with the company’s NSW & ACT Sales Manager .

Reporting Structure

This position reports to the NSW and ACT Manager.

Remuneration

A highly competitive base remuneration package in line with your experience level ranging from $80,000 - 120,000, (subject to experience) plus superannuation.

A company phone and laptop will be provided.
