Site Manager – industrial construction project

Project location nr Tweed in Northern NSW

Contractor located on the Gold Coast

Excellent well established mid-tier national building contractor with a standout reputation in delivering a range of commercial, industrial and retail projects throughout Australia.

Initial Project & Role: $20M industrial warehouse located in Northern NSW

Future projects throughout the Gold Coast with the current project portfolio including shopping centre extensions & new-builds, industrial / warehouss, supermarket refurbs and more (projects from $3M - $40M)

Salary on offer - $150,000 - $180,000 + super on offer (D.O.E) + excellent benefits

Start in June or July 2025

Immediate need for a Site Manager to join an excellent established, highly reputable Australian mid-tier commercial, retail and industrial building contractor. The first project will be a $20M industrial warehouse project just South of the Gold Coast in Northern NSW.

The Position:

Reporting to a Project Manager, you will play a key role in the delivery team of this industrial project. As it’s newly awarded, you’ll work on the projects from start trough to hand-over, managing the entire project life-cycle. Additional team members assisting with the delivery of the project will include a Contracts Administrator, Foreman, Leading Hand and Safety Advisor and Cadet. You will manage the project for the entire life cycle, from start through structure and handover.

Duties:

Report to the project manager

Short term programming, to keep the job on track.

Interpret and work off plans

Supervise site staff while delegating tasks

Management of sub-contractors and trades from civils, to structures, and internal.

WHS esure works are undertaken safely – Recognise and rectify site safety issues

Use company software, mainly Procore.

To be suitable for the role it is anticipated that you will possess the following;

A strong trade background

Will have built up strong supervisory skills as a Site Foreman and Manager with established Australian commercial & industrial building contractors.

Will have a track record of delivering commercial and industrial projects from $10M - $30M as a Site manager.

New build industrial, supermarket and commercial construction project experience is hugely beneficial

Will have ideally worked for reputable commercial contractors with established systems, processes and software in place such as Procore and Hammertech.

Possess a ‘can-do’ positive attitude and be a positive member of the site team

Career focused and a desire to progress through to Site Foreman.

A Gold Coast ir Northern NSW location would be ideal.
