Job Overview:

Zest DCA Pty Ltd is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Site Manager to join our team for an exciting new project—a state-of-the-art childcare centre in the Mount Pleasant suburb of Mackay. This is a unique opportunity to oversee a high-impact project from early works to final completion.

Key Responsibilities:

Reports to the site Project Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of construction operations on-site, ensuring that the project is completed on time, within budget, and in compliance with all safety and quality standards.

Supervise and coordinate construction crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure work is performed according to project specifications and schedules.

Maintain a high standard of safety on the construction site, enforcing safety protocols and ensuring compliance with local regulations.

Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and manage any changes to the scope of work or timeline.

Liaise with the Project Manager, architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals are met.

Ensure proper documentation of all project activities, including daily reports, logs, and progress updates.

Conduct regular site inspections and quality control checks to ensure work meets required standards.

Work closely with Project Manager to manage project budgets, review estimates, and handle cost control measures.

Qualifications:

Proven experience as a Construction Manager, Supervisor, or in a similar leadership role in the construction industry.

In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, building codes, and safety standards.

Experience with project scheduling, budgeting, and resource management.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve conflicts effectively.

Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and drawings.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Relevant construction certifications (e.g., OSHA, PMP, etc.) preferred.

High school diploma required; a degree or certification in construction management or a related field is a plus.
