We are in the market for an experienced Environmental Management professional. You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge. At CoM we strive to embrace change as our norm and therefore require a person who is innovative, agile, proactive and enthusiastic.
Reporting to the Coordinator Bushland Management, you will work within a small team to deliver the environmental objectives of the City of Mandurah’s Strategic Community Plan, including assisting in the preparation of management plans for Council’s bushland reserves, planning and implementing environmental management projects and providing environmental advice and information to the City and community.

What can you bring to the team?
- Diploma of Conservation and Ecosystem Management or similar (essential)
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline such as Environmental Planning, Environmental Law, Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Restoration, Conservation Biology or similar (highly desirable)
- Current unrestricted C (manual) or C-A (automatic) National Driver’s License
- Knowledge of and experience in implementing principles of environmental management
- Practical knowledge of ecological processes and environmental rehabilitation techniques (particularly related to Southwest Australian local native flora species)
- Experience in the use of GIS (desirable)
- Experience in project management skills (desirable)
- Experience in environmental approvals (desirable)
- Developed analytical and conceptual ability, including the ability to develop practical solutions to problems
- Highly developed written communication skills, including the ability to present ideas
- As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to complete a drug and alcohol test.
The finer details
This fulltime, fixed term (until 30 January 2026) Level 5 position attracts a salary range of $90,690 - $96,605 gross per annum, dependent on qualifications and experience.
