Utility Solutions Group Pty Ltd is a Melbourne based utilities service provider who offer turn key solutions across a vast variety of projects. As we continue to expand, we are seeking motivated and experienced professionals to be part of our growing team.

We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified and experienced Electrical Estimator's who have extensive knowledge and experience within the Victorian Electrical Supply Industry (VESI), to prepare bids and tenders for various infrastructure projects including Public Lighting Projects, Powerline relocations both overhead and underground as well as Traffic Signals and AS3000 installations

This role will be based at our Dandenong depot and the work will be across metropolitan Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula

ABOUT THE ROLE

The position of Electrical Estimator (VESI)

Reporting to the Management Team you will work within a centralised team of estimators to identify and prepare estimates for potential projects

Liase with internal divisions for pricing and review methodologies to ensure competitive estimates

Read project plans and contractual documents to ensure accurate pricing and compliance with specifications

Request quotations for specific work from contractors, suppliers and trades.

Undertake take-offs

Review construction documentation to ensure there are no errors.

Assist in quarterly price review updates

Assist with preparation of tender documentation

Assist with preparation of handover documentation

Use an estimating software to produce quotations

Manage the item inventory for material and resources in estimating software, ensuring all rates are current and competitive.

Review estimates with the Project Managers

Build new and maintain existing relationships with contractors and suppliers

Assist in Managing the standard set of construction drawings and revisions.

ABOUT YOU

Tertiary qualifications in Estimating, electrical engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or similar preferable.

A minimum of 12 month experience in electrical cost planning, tendering and estimating

Strong understanding of various civil construction projects, including Road Reconstructions, Streetscapes, Roundabouts, LATMs, Drainage, and more.

Competent in MS office suite, SharePoint and MS Project.
