Electrical Services Queensland is on the hunt for an electrician with demonstrated experience in estimating projects of all sizes.

We are a medium sized team based in Brendale. Our workload is made up of Commercial Fitouts, Sports Field Lighting, Government Projects, Film Sets, Solar, Air Conditioning and Residential Maintenance.

We pride ourselves on providing our clients with high quality workmanship, exceptional customer service and knowledgeable Tradies.

About the Role
The need has recently arisen for an Estimator to join our team. We're looking for someone who has practical, on-site electrical experience and can use this invaluable knowledge to ensure that projects are quoted in the most cost-effective way.

While this position is predominately office based reviewing drawings and preparing tenders, there will be times where you are required on site to carry out electrical installations and repairs. This is a dynamic role that combines hands-on electrical work with estimating responsibilities so a valid electrical license is essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Estimating & Bidding:

Review project drawings, lighting designs, contracts, specifications, and other documentation to create detailed estimates for commercial projects.

Prepare accurate estimates for electrical and lighting projects, including material costs, labour and project schedules.

Meet with clients to understand project scopes and provide clear cost breakdowns.

Build strong relationships with clients and attend networking events

Stay up-to-date with industry pricing and trends to provide competitive prices.

Electrical Work:

Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in residential, commercial, and industrial environments.

Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues and provide timely solutions.

Ensure all work complies with safety regulations, and industry standards.

Conduct inspections and provide ongoing support for electrical systems.

Supervise and mentor apprentices

Skills and Qualifications

Current electrical license

Prior estimating experience for medium sized commercial projects (experience with lighting estimates will be highly regarded)

Problem solving & fault finding experience

White card, CPR & LVR

Manual drivers license

Current right to work in Australia

Strong attention to detail

Ability to work in a fast paced environment and manage competing deadlines

Strong computer skills
