Job Overview:

Our Federal Government Client is seeking a professional Web Developer with a passion for creating exciting digital experiences and connecting with audiences using digital technology. The Web Developer will be primarily responsible for managing and enhancing the public website within the GovCMS environment using Drupal CMS. They will also play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of digital services as part of our clients program of digital uplift.

Duties:

• Design, develop, and maintain the main website and shop, ensuring functionality, performance, and security.
• Conduct usability testing and continuously optimise performance and load times.
• Build scalable and robust websites that can handle increasing traffic.
• Work closely with teams to implement updates or new features, keeping up to date with upcoming GovCMS releases and collaborating with the community to ensure the client is kept up to speed with security advisories and roadmap updates.
• Develop enhancements to ensure the main and shop websites meet Australian Government Standards such as the Digital Service Standard and WCAG guidelines.
• Look for opportunities to enhance digital experiences for our users.

Skills and Experience:

• Front-end web development
• 2+ years’ experience with CMS platforms, specifically Drupal 9+ & GovCMS SaaS Drupal front-end APIs
• Implementing user-centric, accessible & responsive websites using HTML5, CSS3, SCSS, JavaScript & Twig
• Maintain & develop component-based design systems
• eCommerce platforms, specifically Shopify
• Lagoon based hosting, CI/CD pipelines & Docker
• GovCMS & Drupal Security best practices including data management, user roles & permissions, & front-end vulnerabilities
