Are you an experienced procurement professional with a keen eye for best practice and framework development? A unique opportunity awaits to shape and refine procurement processes within a highly regarded government team.

Your Role
As an EL1 Procurement Framework Development Specialist, you will take the lead in developing and refining procurement frameworks, ensuring clarity and consistency in selection processes. Your primary focus will be to structure and implement a comprehensive framework that guides procurement selections, outlines key auditing practices, and provides assurance activities across contracts, grants, and procurements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Framework Development: Update existing structures to enhance procurement selection processes and establish clear auditing checkpoints.
  • Checklist Creation: Define key compliance requirements aligned with grant legislation, procurement principles, and CPRs.
  • Training & Guidance: Support APS6s and fellow EL1s by training them on the framework, offering structured guidance on execution, including realistic timelines for review activities.
  • Assurance Activities: Conduct structured reviews to assess the effectiveness of the framework and refine processes accordingly.
  • Strategic Oversight: Provide recommendations to ensure procurement selections remain objective, practical, and aligned with governance requirements.

What You'll Bring

  • Autonomous work style with strong experience in best practice procurement frameworks.
  • Critical thinking abilities to shape and refine complex processes.
  • Prior experience within government procurement environments, ideally in one of the bigger federal government agencies
  • Ability to train and guide teams, fostering a culture of structured procurement assessments.
