Macquarie Neurosurgery is one of Australia’s largest academic neurosurgery groups, with 10 neurosurgeons having nationally and internationally recognized clinical subspecialty expertise. Our organization is committed to teaching the next generation of neurosurgeons and expanding knowledge in neurosurgery through our research programs. Based at Macquarie University, we run outreach programs with clinics throughout NSW and ACT.

We are looking for a casual Accounts Receivable Officer who will assist with collections and maintenance of our accounts receivable ledger.

Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

· Assist with accounts receivable process including invoicing payment tracking and collections;

· Liaise with private health insurers, Medicare and patients to resolve billing issues;

· Investigate account discrepancies;

· Help maintain accurate patient billing records

Required experience:

You will have proven experience in accounts receivable within a healthcare setting and knowledge of medical practice management software. You will demonstrate an understanding of Medicare and health fund procedures and possess knowledge of workers compensation claims.

Skills required:

· Intermediate MS Excel;

· Strong, clear communication both written and verbal;

· Problem solving and detail oriented nature;

· Thorough task completion
